Travelers who dare to go to those countries are surprised to see what the world has been missing and what these countries have to offer. They are surprised to see the beauty, hospitality, and diversity of these underrated countries, and unexpectedly, they spend most of their time in these countries.
here is a list of countries that are most misinterpreted and underrated due to their media portrayal.
1. PAKISTAN
On top of my list is Pakistan. It has a pretty bad image around the world due to its war on terrorism that went for more than a decade since 9/11.
People around the globe thought that Pakistan is the country that is producing and funding these terrorists, however, they were oblivious of the fact that Pakistan had been a victim of terrorism for more than a decade and 60,000 innocent people lost their lives fighting it.
Now when Pakistanis have kicked those terrorists out of their country, more and more people are coming from foreign countries and they end up staying for a much longer time than they had planned because they had never seen such hospitality from the locals anywhere else in the world and that is because Pakistanis don't get to see a foreigner in their country very often, so they see them, they try to give their as best impression as they could.
Pakistanis are quite laid back and they don't care about buying huge houses or fancy cars, I mean there are a lot of rich people in Pakistan, but I am talking about the majority, for them, a guest is like a God, they treat him like one and literally doesn't let them pay for anything.
Not only the people are nice but the places, I think Pakistan is the only country in the world with such diverse terrain. Sky-touching snow-capped mountains up in the north, in fact, Pakistan has the top 3 highest mountain ranges in the world, The Himalayas, Karakoram, and Hindu-Kush, great forests, plateaus and agricultural land in the region of Punjab, huge sandy deserts and in the province of Sindh, and great beaches in the southern area of Balochistan.
You name it and Pakistan has it. Pakistan is rich with culture and I am damn sure that you cant fully explore it because it has a lot of things to offer.
2. IRAN
Iran is quite notorious due to its strict laws for women and their never-ending conflicts with the United States and Israel. Iran has failed to build up its image back for tourists, but again, whoever dares to go to Iran is shocked to see the vibrant culture, modern women, food, bazaars and much more. Iran is just opposite to what you think.
It has breathtaking scenery and great historical places. If you are hitchhiking in Iran, people would not just give you a ride to your destination but they'll invite you to their simple houses and serve you with great food and tea.
3. Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan probably no image around the world. People might not even know this place exists. But it has a lot to offer. It has great potential for tourism, having great culture, landscapes, archeological and historical sites.
Uzbekistan has one of the most favorable climates in Central Asia so there are a lot of outdoor activities to do such as rock climbing. It has beautiful snow-capped mountains, grassy lands, lakes, and rivers running between them.
If you are an introvert kind of a guy or you don't like too much noisy and crowded places, Uzbekistan is the place for you.
4. MADAGASCAR
Madagascar is an African Island separated from Africa millions of years ago. It has a high potential for the growth of its tourism.
The country has adventurous wildlife totally isolated from the rest of the African continent. Madagascar is one of the most biologically diverse countries in the world and has the potential to become one of the top wildlife tourism and eco-tourism destinations in the world.
It has an amazing mixture of beautiful rain forests and deserts making it very unique. You'll find many different tribes of various beliefs and rituals on this island.

5. LEBANON
Lebanon is defamed through the Lebanese Civil War, otherwise, tourism is a major industry in Lebanon.
This middle-eastern country has its status reduced in the continent, however, ancient history especially Roman ruins, churches, and its atmosphere make it an important destination in the middle east.
Lebanon has incredible beaches, wonderful nightlife (which is not expected by most of the tourists) and delicious cuisine.
People are very liberal and welcoming and soon the country may open door to more tourists and develop its tourism sector.
